Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories are an immortal pleasure. Now you have the chance to follow an original Sherlock Holmes story on foot! Why should a London pawnbroker be paid a small fortune to copy out the Encyclopedia Britannica? What connects the mysterious league of red-headed men, an underground tunnel and a daring plot to steal thousands of gold coins? Join me and we’ll explore the locations - real and fictional - behind The Red Headed League.

Meet at: Blackfriars underground station every fourth Sunday in the month. Walk leaves at 2.00 sharp.

Please note that on Sunday 23 June Robin will be supporting the Sherlock Holmes Society of London in their annual cricket match vs the PG Wodehouse XI. Robin's monthly Sherlock Holmes Walk will therefore take place on Sunday 30 June instead.

The Romans founded Londinium and the coming of the railways confirmed London as the centre of a world empire. Treats on this walk include the Roman wall - 2,000 years old and still standing, the church where early bird commuters from Liverpool Street sheltered in the 19th century, and the bowling green in the middle of the City of London. Join me and we’ll explore highlights of London’s history spanning 2,000 years in one walk!
